We usually have between 35 and 50 authors on the program. Our Book Selection Committee puts together a program of authors not just from Alabama but from other states as well, featuring mostly books that have been published within the past year to eighteen months.
An indicator of the festival's growth is that we have many more qualified books to consider than there are places on the festival schedule, so even "perfect fit" bookss don't always get selected. However, the committee does keep the books who weren't selected in mind for future festivals, and you'll be able to make book submittals and recommendations for 2013 beginning in September 2012.
