Volunteers

The non-profit Alabama Book Festival is operated entirely by volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at the 2011 festival, please check back in January to complete a volunteer application form. We appreciate your support.

Volunteers are essential to the success of the fifth annual Alabama Book Festival. We need book lovers ages 16 and older to escort authors, greet guests, work in the children's activity area, monitor events, run errands and many other tasks. Volunteer shifts are two hours. Please fill out the volunteer form to sign up:

PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer independent of a group.

Volunteer Appreciation:

In addition to a free t-shirt, volunteers had the opportunity to earn a one-day admission ticket to Disney World or Disneyland, as part of Disney's 2010 Give a Day, Get a Day volunteer program. However, this program reached its goal of 1 million volunteers on March 9 and tickets are no longer available to those who did not sign up and get approved for this opportunity prior to March 9.
